Akash Institute of Physiotherapy was established in 2019 by the Akash Education Trust which came into existence in 2014. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and approved by the Government of Karnataka. Akash Institute of Physiotherapy is situated near the International Airport in bangalore. The Akash Institute of Physiotherapy offers 4 year Bachelor of Physiotherapy with 6 months of internship that is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). The BPT course at Akash Institute is recognized by Central Council of Physiotherapy India (CCIP) and Karnataka Physiotherapy Council. The Akash Institute of Physiotherapy is also approved by Government of Karnataka.

At the time of admission, candidates must have passed the 12th class with subjects like English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with an aggregate of forty-five percent for the general category from a recognized board.
