This sangam was founded by late Nithyananda Swamigal. The Swamigal established a Siddha Medical Diploma College, Hospital, Pharmacy and an herbal garden. Later on, the sangam grew auspiciously where the institution got itself upgraded to an Undergraduate Siddha Medical College in the year 1996 under the president ship of Thiru T. Mohan Raj.
Separate Hostels are available for boys and girls within the campus. Spacious rooms with good ventilation and attached bathrooms are provided. The college can be reached by frequent buses available from Marthandam to Thegapattanam via Munchirai. The college has a central Library where a collection of 4313 Books are available. This includes a good collection of around 3052 Siddha Books of various authors including famous Siddhars. A well furnished Canteen functions in the College campus on contractual basis . Hygienic foods are prepared and provided to the Hostel students.
