Alva’s College Of Medical Laboratory Technology is approved by Government of Karnataka, Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka. Dr. M Mohan Alva set up an Ayurvedic clinic in Moodubidire in 1980 to cater to the basic health needs of the people of his village. Alva's College of Allied Health Science has well equipped laboratories for basic sciences with a separate Hi-tech diagnostic laboratory offer a wide exposure to students.The library catalogue lists more than 3,000 medical books and latest journals, which are proud asset for the Institution. The library also has broadband internet facilities. Alva's College of Allied Health Science organizes clinical training programme for B.Sc MLT and M.Sc MLT students at reputed hospitals. The college has a placement cell as well. Transport facilities is available for daily communication between college and clinical posting at various centres. Alva's College of Allied Health Science also provides transport facility as per special needs of all students whenever required. Institution provides excellent boarding facilities separately for girls and boys with North Indian and South Indian food. To prevent any incidents of ragging the Institutions provides separate accommodation, for junior students.
