Alva's College of physiotherapy was established in the year 1995, Alva's Education foundation is a multifaceted organization founded by Dr. M. Mohan Alva and it is considered as the crown of Moodbidri. Education Foundation (AEF) had recognized the need for such professionals way back in 1995 and hence established Alva’s College of Physiotherapy (ACP) . ACP offers both bachelor (BPT) and master (MPT) degrees in physiotherapy. The duration of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (4 and half years including 6 months internship) MPT Master of Physiotherapy (2 years). Bachelor of physiotherapy has an annual intake of 75 seat and Master of Physiotherapy has an annual intake of 20 seats. The college offers various MPT specialization that are Musculo Skeletal Science, Neurology Science, Sports Science.
Many clinical exposure with a well equipped research laboratory makes it most valuable places for post graduate research works. The students are also posted in Alva’s Health center hospital (300 bedded) and other specialty hospitals for clinical training..
The College has fully equipped departmental library with latest Physiotherapy books of various authors & publishers. the departmental library has around 300 books which also include national and international texts , magazines and journals. Besides, medical journals, periodicals and other books are also available for reference for students.
Separate hostels are available for both boys and girls students of Alva’s college of Physiotherapy. Hostels equipped with CCTV cameras within premises for security purpose. A homely environment created for the purpose of students who are residing in hostels. Tasty and healthy hostel food prepared and provided to students as per the menu put forth by the students committee.
