Arulmigu Palaniandavar Polytechnic College, Palani, emerged from the benevolent initiative of the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Thirukkoil Devasthanam. In 1981 and 1982, the devasthanam established two separate Polytechnics for Women and Men, respectively, with the aim of educating the rural and industrially backward population of Palani.
Arulmigu Palaniandavar Polytechnic College, Palani, emerged from the benevolent initiative of the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Thirukkoil Devasthanam. In 1981 and 1982, the devasthanam established two separate Polytechnics for Women and Men, respectively, with the aim of educating the rural and industrially backward population of Palani, equipping them with essential technical skills. The institutions were amalgamated in the academic year 2003-04 under the consolidated name of Arulmigu Palaniandavar Polytechnic College.
Situated beneath the Holy Hills of Palani, the college is strategically located on the Dindigul main road, NH9, just 1 km from the Palani bus stand and 1.5 km from the railway station. Functioning as a Quasi-Government Institution under HR & CE, the polytechnic is the only aided institution in Dindigul district approved by AICTE. With a track record of 26 successful batches, graduates from the college have found placements in various government, semi-government, public sectors, and private organizations. Additionally, many students have ventured into self-employment, establishing successful entrepreneurial ventures. Arulmigu Palaniandavar Polytechnic College also actively contributes to the community by providing NSS training to 300 students from nearby villages annually. The institution's inclusive approach extends its benefits not only to the educated but also to school dropouts, housewives, undereducated individuals, and the socially disabled populace of Palani through various need-based short-term schemes offered by CPS and CIICP.
