The Basaveshwar School of Pharmacy was started in the year 1980 under the auspices of Shri Basaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha. The college is recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and Government of Karnataka, and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. To meet the challenges of the new millenium for trained and qualified professionals, the school of pharmacy was elevated to 'College of Pharmacy' status in the year 1992. Shri B.V.V Sangha was founded by His Holiness Sri.Gurubasava Maha Swamiji of Bilur in 1906 with the assistance of merchant philanthropists of this region to provide education to the remote rural public. The Sanskrit pathashala started in 1906 was the first venture of the sangha in initiating the educational activities.
Modernized and advanced laboratories are functioning within the college campus. It helps the students to familiarize the use and application of these type of modern technologies. The Basaveshwar School of Pharmacy has highly knowledgeable faculty, and facilities that enable students to gain a contemporary education. Continuous interaction, Industrial visits are also available for providing better education.
