Bangalore Institute of Dental sciences was established in the year 1991 under the dynamic leadership of Mr. K Subba Rao, Chairman, VEF, the Institution has grown leaps and bounds. The first batch of students passed out of the college on 8th November 1995.

The college has a well-equipped library, which houses almost all major book and journals pertaining to dentistry. The college provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Both are constructed with modern amenities and has adequate capacity for lodging the students. The College has an auditorium, which can seat around 1000 people. The college hostel facility is equipped with an air-conditioned gymnasium with state-of-the-art equipment. The entire campus including the hostels is Wi-Fi enabled and students can access the internet on their laptops round the clock. The college has a full fledged transport service which provides transport for the students and staff at a 50 km radius.
