The trust was founded with the primary objective of promoting Technical Education and Industrial Training in Tamil Nadu. In line with this mission, CIT Sandwich Polytechnic College was inaugurated in 1961, situated near Coimbatore Civil Aerodrome on the outskirts of Coimbatore along the Avinashi Road.
Spanning an expansive campus area of 25.30 hectares, which encompasses both C.I.T. and C.I.T. Sandwich Polytechnic College, the institution is dedicated to providing a conducive environment for technical education and industrial training. The legacy of the V.
