The College has been established in the year 2007 by the visionary organization, Raja Sir Muthaiah Chettiar Charitable trust.The institute is a post graduate college with 23 MDS seats and 100 undergraduate seats, affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR medical university, Chennai and recognized by the Dental council of India.
The vision of the College is to achieve global leadership of excellence in dental education and research by prioritizing our values as follows, namely integrity, transparency, quality, team work. The BDS curriculum covers various aspects of dentistry, including basic medical sciences, dental materials, oral pathology, periodontology, orthodontics, oral surgery, community dentistry, and more. The program includes both classroom lectures and hands-on clinical training. Clinical training is a significant component of the BDS program. Students gain practical experience in treating patients under the supervision of experienced faculty. Clinical rotations often cover areas such as oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and more. After completing the academic requirements, students typically undergo a compulsory internship or residency program, which provides them with real-world experience in dental practice. Graduates of BDS can work as general dentists in private or public healthcare settings.
