CO-OPERATIVE INSTITUTE OF HEALTH SCIENCES, THALASSERY(CIHS) was established in1999. It comes under Kerala Co-operative Hospital Federation Ltd. College is located at Thalassery in Kannur, Kerala. College started with bachelor of physiotherapy Course in1999 under Calicut University. In 2005, the affiliation was shifted to the Kannur University. Post-graduation Program in Physiotherapy was started in 2014 and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. Physiotherapy is an independent profession. It deals with treatment and rehabilitation of various musculoskeletal, neurological, chest and other medical disorders by means of Electrotherapy, Exercise therapy and Manual therapy. The College has an annual intake 50 seats in BPT Course and 9 seats for MPT Course. Co-operative Institute of Health Science is Co-educational in its nature. This institution offers highly qualified and experienced faculty, well equipped laboratory, gym facility, library, separate hostel for boys and girls etc . Development of students with a sense of discipline, responsibility and integrity is aimed by the College. The strong academic background of 20 long years with highly qualified and experienced faculty, well equipped laboratory, gym facility, library etc has helped for excellent learning and overall development of each student studying in the paramedical stream. Our aim is to engage, inspire and challenge all students to become good citizens and positive contributors to our Country. We assure well learning experiences which prepare our students for success in career.
