College of Engineering was established in the year 2000 under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education(CAPE), an autonomous society under government of Kerala. College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala.

College is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. College offers various B Tech courses namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology. For admission, candidates should passe in the Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Govt. of Kerala. The merit & management students are directed by the Chief Entrance Commissioner according to the Entrance ranking through online counseling. 60% seats are free seats, 35% seats are management seats and 5% seats are reserved for NRI students selected directly on merit basis.
The college library has the wide collection of technical books of around 21500 volumes from all branches of engineering. In addition, magazines, dailies, printed journals, electronic journals, E-books etc are also available. College have sports facilities for the students such as Football, Badminton, Volleyball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Basketball. The College has the facility of a spacious and clean canteen that meets the needs of students and staff. The college canteen offers variety of snacks and cool drinks Separate hostels for both boys and girls are available. Girls hostel which can accommodate 200 inmates. Boys hostel provides accommodation facility for SC/ST students and others accommodation is arranged nearest to the college campus .
