The ESIC Medical College & PGIMSR was established in the year 2013, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college is under the affiliation of The TN Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, State of Tamil Nadu, India, and is wholly administered by the Government of State of Tamil Nadu. The Institute is a Medical Teaching Institute Recognized by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi, India.
The MBBS course starts with the basic pre and para-clinical subjects such as biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology, forensic medicine including toxicology and pharmacology. The students simultaneously obtain hands-on training in the wards and out-patient departments, where they interact with real patients for five years. The curriculum aims to inculcate standard protocols of history taking, examination, differential diagnosis and complete patient Management. The College offers 100admission seats every year through National Eligibility and Entrance Examination NEET organized by National Testing Agency (NTA). The college offers beautiful landscape within the campus to provide proper study environment for their students. It also has a fully functional hospital within the campus with huge number of beds for treatment of patients and also used as a practical learning ground for the MBBS students. Other facilities like library, playground, gym, mess facility and hostel is present within the campus. Hostel facilities are available for the Students with hygienic mess facility.
