Government Engineering College Sreekrishnapuram is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to APJ Abdul kalam Technological University. The college offers 4 year B. Tech programmes in various Engineering branches namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. College also provides M. Tech course in Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
College has excellent infrastructure for its students. Government College has a good spacious library having wide collection of books, reference resources, magazines and journals. The total collection is 24639 books. All laboratories are well equipped and using modernized technologies for improving the technological skills and knowledge of the students. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available. These hostels are headed by the warden assisted by resident tutors. Prof. Kala is in charge of girls hostel and Prof. Ali Akbar is in charge of boys hostel.
