Originally established as a Government Technical High School, the institute underwent a significant transformation and was upgraded to a Polytechnic College in 1994. The institution currently offers a three-year diploma course in Computer Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Additionally, there is a four-year diploma course in Tool and Die Engineering, with an approved intake of 60 students in each branch, as recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
