Government Yoga & Naturopathy Medical College was established in the year 2000. As per the Govt. order No.137, Health and Family Welfare Department dated 30-05-2000 for conducting BNYS (BACHELOR OF NATUROPATHY AND YOGIC SCIENCES), the Five and Half years Medical Degree course in Naturopathy and Yoga comprising 4 ½ years course of study and one year Compulsory Internship.
Naturopathy is an art and science of healthy living and a drugless system of healing based on well founded philosophy. It has its own concept of health and disease and also principle of treatment. The college library has a vast array of books from authors of National and International Repute Medical Sciences. The library catalogue lists more than 2000 medical books and latest journals, which is proud asset for the institution. The Institute has separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostels have their own mess to provide good and hygienic food to the students. Transport facilities are available for daily communication between colleges and clinical out postings at various centre. College also provides transport facilities as per special needs of the students whenever required.
