K J Somaiya College of Physiotherapy was established in the year 2002 by Somaiya trust. K. J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, approved by The Indian Association of Physiotherapy, Maharashtra State Occupational Therapy /Physiotherapy Council. Main aim of the college is to establish high standards along with creativity and growth in all individuals for the benefit of society. Along with the academic environment, institute attempt to establish clinical excellence and overall development of the students as well as society. The college has 4 year Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme having 6 months internship and have Master of Physiotherapy programme with the duration of 2 years.
The college has different laboratories like kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy and electrodiagnosis are available for training to the students. A central research laboratory with the modern and latest equipment is available for research, patient care and postgraduate teaching. A separate yoga lab is available to teach yoga to patients and students. The campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. There is Wi-Fi available in all the classrooms, library, central research lab and common room. Wi-Fi connection is also available in the administration offices to work easily through internet and computers.
The Physiotherapy College has hostel facilities for boys and girls which ensures safety and security among the students. Both the hostels have spacious rooms with all the required amenities and get food with clean and healthy. The campus is purely vegetarian as is the Somaiya culture.
