K S R Institute of Dental science & Research was established in the year 2012.   The College is recognized by the Dental Council of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu DR MGR Medical University, Chennai. The college is endowed with a highly qualified faculty, that imparts knowledge and hones the skills of the students.

The BDS course is usually a five-year undergraduate program, including both theoretical and practical training. The curriculum covers various aspects of dentistry, including basic medical sciences, dental materials, oral pathology, periodontology, orthodontics, oral surgery, community dentistry, and more. Students receive a comprehensive education in both the theoretical and practical aspects of dentistry. The Clinical training is a crucial component of the BDS course. Students gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating dental conditions under the supervision of experienced faculty. Clinical rotations cover different dental specialties, allowing students to develop a broad understanding of dental practice. After completing the academic requirements, students typically undergo a mandatory internship or residency program. This phase provides practical exposure to various dental procedures and patient management.
