Koppal institute of Medical Sciences is located at Koppal District in Karnataka. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approved by Government of Karnataka.
KIMS, Koppal Central library is situated in a separate wing at college campus. The Library building consists of two floors with a carpet area of 27000 square feet and seating capacity of 360 persons which the reading room is at the first floor. The Institute has a very well equipped computer Lab having 20 branded computers with internet facility. The Institute has various types of Labs. There are very well equipped Labs like, Fundamental Lab, Community Lab, OBG Lab, A.V Aids Lab, Science Lab, CHN Lab etc. The hostel accommodation has been provided within the premises of the college. The students are provided spacious well ventilated rooms with rooms with required furniture and individual cupboard. The Institute provides adequate transport facilities for students during the hospital and community trainings. Besides academics, the facilities for indoor and outdoor games are also provided.
