Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research was established on 2008. The college is affiliated with Dr MGR Medical University and approved by Government of Tamil Nadu. College offers various courses. B.Sc Dialysis is a bachelor of science, a three-year undergraduate programme that deals with dialysis methods. The course focuses on the artificial process of removing trash (diffusion) and undesirable water from the blood (ultrafiltration). Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Critical Care is an undergraduate course that prepares candidates to provide immediate critical and intensive care to patients in the emergency ward of a hospital.

The central library had been built to national standards in the part of our institute building. Spreads over to two floors with an area of 2400 s.q.m it is centrally air-conditioned specialized collection of books, journals & non books materials are available in basic sciences, dental, nursing and physiotherapy etc. All the classrooms are well ventilated, lighten, and equipped, furnished for the students.
