This has crystallized into the MERF-ISH where all aspects of clinical, research and teaching of Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology have been brought under one roof. "MERF-ISH has started B.ASLP and Ph.D course in affiliation with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Madras ENT Research Foundation hospital started by Dr. Mohan Kameswaran is one of the leading centers of ENT Practice and Research. For years it has been a Mecca for ENT & Audiology related education in India.
Various courses offered by the college. The Full form of BASLP is BSc in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology. BASLP is a 4-year course that teaches the process to diagnose and cure speech and hearing related issues. M.Sc. in Audiology is a postgraduate course in the science that explores hearing, balance, and related disorders. Practitioners of this science who treat those with hearing loss and proactively prevent related damage are Audiologists. The comfortable and spacious classrooms create a conducive learning environment.
