Late Thiru R. Ramasamy, a successful businessman in Civil Engineering with the renowned firm Jothi & Co., Chennai, envisioned the need for education, particularly technical education, in his native village. In alignment with this vision, Muthayammal Polytechnic College was established and has consistently ranked among the top polytechnic colleges in the state for over 21 years.
The institution, through its commitment to quality education, has played a pivotal role in shaping the futures of more than 30,000 students since its inception. In addition to the polytechnic college, the trust has expanded its educational initiatives with Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science and Muthayammal Industrial Training Institute at Rasipuram. Late Thiru R. Ramasamy also founded M.R Matriculation Hr. Sec. School in Chennai in 1987, contributing to the education of over 2000 students.
