Dr. D.Y Patil Medical College was originally affiliated to the University of Mumbai and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS), but now it is a Deemed University.

The college has 4 year Bachelor of Physiotherapy course with 6 months compulsory internship. For providing quality education in physiotherapy, developing an environment that introduce innovative teaching practice that give courage to the students to face the challenges in the field of Physiotherapy and provide better care to the patients.. The college always prepare students be excellent in their profession by providing various learning skills, proper theoretical knowledge, practices and all other development.
At the time of internship, the student are given opportunities to learn and treat variety of patients under supervision and guidance of expert superiors.
College has well furnished classrooms and comfortable sitting. Good spacious library having wide collections of books and other reference materials. Advanced laboratories using latest and modern equipments helping the students for learning the use of new technologies. College offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls which gives safety and security among the students. Students get quality food at proper time and they get all the required facilities in hostel. Hostel warden has the supervision over the students. Staff maintain the hostel and its surroundings neat and clean.
