The College was established in the year 1999 with its first batch of BPT students having an intake of 30 students. On 2005, the intake capacity increased to 50 students per year. Later Post-Graduate course in physiotherapy started in 2006 with specialities like Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Neuromuscular Physiotherapy and Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy .
The College has well furnished modern classrooms with international facilities. The teaching faculties are experienced & dedicated and create a friendly atmosphere with the students. Students who secure a minimum of 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to study in the campus. The Students are availed with the facilities like well established digital library with more than 5000 books. SBB College of Physiotherapy has a well established and well equipped physiotherapy out patient department attached to Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital. The Hospital has 1200 bedded intake capacity for the indoor patients. Separate Hostel facilities are available for both boys & girls.
