Shri Basaveshwar Institute of Pharmacy, managed by Shri Basaweshwar Rural Education and Development Trust was started in the year 2004. The Shri Basaveshwar Institute of Pharmacy is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, and Drug control Board, Karnataka respectively, approved by A.I.C.T.E and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
Shri Basaveshwar Institute of Pharmacy library and information center is well equipped, has open-access system with rich collection of reference books, textbooks, educational journals and web-resources, newspapers and magazines, furnished and spacious to accommodate 55 students at a time. Presently Library has 18627 volumes of books including Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Gazetteers and Year books. Also 235 Dissertations, Journals Back Volumes, CD’S, DVD’s and Video Cassettes etc. Library subscribes twenty educational journals and magazines with 6 newspapers. Beautifully designed, well-equipped and suitable for superior practical studies and tests all the five laboratories provide excellent learning opportunities and develop an inquisitive mind, research attitude and scientific temper among all the students.
