This esteemed institution is managed by the Sengunthar Educational Trust, with notable patrons such as Sri A. Sankara Mudaliar, Sri P. Ramasamy Mudaliar, Sri K.R. Manicka Mudaliar, Sri S.P. Sambandam Mudaliar, and Sri A. Duraisamy Mudaliar, who firmly believed in the principle of "Impart sound technical education irrespective of caste, creed, or color."
The trust comprises eminent industrial experts and Samaritans dedicated to the noble cause of technical education, with a vision to provide world-class facilities in professional education. Under their able administration, two more institutions, namely Salem Polytechnic ITI and Sengunthar Matriculation School, have flourished.
