Thiru Ramakrishna Nallammai Polytechnic College, founded by the late Shri A. Senapathi Gounder, M.P., is a distinguished institution dedicated to providing quality technical education.
Established under the aegis of the Sri Ramakrishna Nallammai Trust in Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu, the college was inaugurated in 1984 to address the educational needs of students in the rural and backward regions of the district. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the then Vice President of India, Shri. R. Venkatraman.
Today, the trust is led by Thiru. K.S.N. Venugopalu, the son of the founder, who continues the noble legacy of his father. Under his leadership since 2004, the college has witnessed significant developments, including the construction of new buildings, modern computer centers, well-equipped laboratories, and essential infrastructure like a new cabling system and a control room with a 125 KVA Gen Set. Thiru. K.S.N. Venugopalu's commitment to the welfare of students is evident in his efforts to enhance the institution continually. In 2007-2008, he initiated the establishment of a new branch, "Mechanical Engineering (Tool and Die)," further expanding the college's offerings.
