V A P M S College Of Physiotherapy - Visakhapatnam

VAPMS College of Physiotherapy was established in the year of 1999. The College is affiliated with Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences and approved by Government Of Andhra Pradesh. The college is recognized by The Indian Association Of Physiotherapists. Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a 4 year programme with 6 months of compulsory internship. Clinical Training provided to the students in Andhra Medical College & King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam. After completing the B.P.T. course of 4 and half years duration the professionals get an opportunity for placement at different government, corporate and private hospitals. In addition to the clinical training at King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Medical College-Visakhapatnam, two out-patient units (Ortho & Neuro Physiotherapy) were set up in the college campus to train the students and provide treatments.
The college has good spacious library with wide collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in basic sciences, physiotherapy, clinicals and medical sciences. There are around 1000 text books available in the college library.

Ragging is banned inside and outside the campus. Strict action is taken against persons violating the rule; no leniency is shown. Suspension, withdrawal from the hostel/ college is the first action against the offender. The Supreme Court of India has also considering ragging as a criminal offense. College build global physiotherapy professionals with innovative capacity, tolerance and desire to provide service for the benefit of the society.
