Amal Jyothi College of Engineering - Kottayam

Amal Jyothi College of Engineering (Autonomous), Kanjirapally, is the first engineering college in Kerala to obtain NAAC accreditation with A grade. The college was established in the year 2001. Amal Jyothi college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram since 2015. During the years 2001-2014, the College was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The college has 4 year B. Tech programme having different specializations namely Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Food Technology, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Automobile), Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.
For general category admissions candidates must be citizens of India. Applicants should have completed 17 years and the candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together are eligible for admission.
The library of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally was set up in 2001. Library having wide collection of reference materials, magazines, journals etc for engineering students and staff. The college has a modernized laboratories for impart better skills and knowledge. The two campus hostels, Santhom for boys and Amala for girls, are taken care of by dedicated Catholic priests and sisters. Students get the hostel facility with tasty food, neat rooms and laundry services.
