Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering (SCTCE), Thiruvananthapuram was established in the year 1995 by the Government of Kerala in memoriam of the Great Maharaja of Travancore and is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University(KTU) of Kerala and the college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering has separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel committee functioning in the college. Hostel warden undertake the control of the students. College ensures safety and security among the students. Students get healthy and nutritious food in spic and span hostel mess.
